Time and Tide was a British weekly (and later monthly) political and literary review magazine founded by Margaret, Lady Rhondda, in 1920. It started as a supporter of left wing and feminist causes and the mouthpiece of the feminist Six Point Group. [1] It later moved to the right along with the views of its owner. It always supported and published literary talent.
The first editor was Helen Archdale. Lady Rhondda took over as editor in 1926 and remained so for the rest of her life.
Special supplement on Moral Re-Armament in 1965
We print here the special supplement that was part of the magazine from page 22. For the interested visitor we also reprint the whole of the magazine below. Without many words it gives the setting of the supplement.
On the last page (65) the editors of T &T have written "Welcome to our new readers" 'It is unusual for us to give as much space to one subject or story as we do this week to Moral Re-Armament But when we began to dig we found so much of interest that we determined to give you the full story.
Whatever is new and of vital interest in the world, whether it is in finance or religion, politics or art, TIME AND TIDE's staff dig to produce the facts for you.
TIME AND TIDE is linked with no great newspaper chain nor with any organisation. We are publishers and our duty is to our readers only. We are independent.
We enjoy the friendship of our readers and invite them to comment on affairs and on whatever there is in the magazine, as we comment-without fear or favour'.
