Anne Hamlin, granddaughter writes: At the time the book "I am a pagan" came out, my grandparents had a maid. When she saw the book, not knowing the word ‘pagan’, she thought it said ‘pigeon’! She asked grandma why her husband said he was a pigeon!! This story got a good laugh for years, so much so that grandpa got the nickname ‘Pidge’ as a result!
