A Historical Journey of Caux - 'Caux is the place'
In 1942, in the thick of World War 2, when it was far from certain that Hitler’s Fascism would be defeated, Philippe Mottu (left) had a thought that came to him in a morning time of quiet reflection which turned out to have major consequences: ‘If Switzerland is spared by the war, our task will be to make available to Moral Re-Armament a place where the Europeans, torn apart by hatred, suffering and resentment can come together. Caux is the place.’
For the 50th anniversary of the Caux conference centre in 1996, Mottu came back and gave a lecture. Here, you can read the text of Philippe Mottu’s 50th anniversary Caux Lecture in 1996. Click here if you prefer to download the book in pdf format.
