The Nairobi Chamber Chorus is in Britain to perform in the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Pageant at Windsor Castle, 10-12 May, 2012. On 6 May the Chorus performed in Slough, hosted by the Kenya Society. Among the speakers at the event were former Kenyan Attorney General Charles Njonjo; former British High Commissioner to Kenya Sir Jeffrey James; the Mayor of Slough, Sukhjit Kaur Dhaliwal; senior Commissioner at the Kenyan High Commission, Dr Joe Sang and Dr Alan Channer from Initiatives of Change's FLTfilms.

Charles Njonjo reminded the audience that Queen Elizabeth acceded to the throne while visiting Kenya. Dr Joe Sang, who has special responsibilities for Kenya's presence at the London Olympics, spoke of the unifying value of music and sport for humanity.

Alan Channer described the peace-building and reconciliation work, currently taking place across Kenya, which is being fostered by screenings of the film An African Answer.'
