David Belden's doctoral thesis about MRA at Oxford University
David Belden was born in Switzerland in 1949 when his parents, lifelong MRA workers, were involved in the creation of Caux. He was raised in one of MRA's large communal homes in London. He was fully committed to MRA for five years, aged 17-23, and then wrote this doctoral thesis about MRA at Oxford University. This version of it includes an introduction by Andrew Stallybrass and a preface to the 2018 edition by David Belden.
Editors' comment: This thesis makes a reference to suggestions that Frank Buchman was perhaps homosexual. There is to our knowledge no evidence for that.
