Annejet Campbell was the third child of Dutch Industrialist Frits Philips and his wife Sylvia. At the age of 19 Annejet accompanied her parents to the MRA conference in Caux and there decided to give her life to God and devote it to remaking the world. She used her skills as a seamstress as part of the costume team for the musical The Vanishing Island for two years and travelled with it through Asia and Europe. She also was one of the speakers at the end of each performance.
In 1957 she married Paul Campbell and travelled with him, and Dr. Buchman as Paul was his personal physician. After Buchman's death in 1961 they lived in in England until 1963, moved to Ottawa and together with others lead the work of MRA in Canada. In 1962 Annejet gave birth to Edith Anne and in 1966 to Digna. In 1965 they moved to central London and in 1967 to Dulwich where they made a home with Ann and Dickie Dodds.
Annejet authored two books. Listen to the Children and Listen for a Change, for which she collected remarkable stories from people she had met all over the world. The books were translated in several languages, including Dutch and Russian.
