René was also the treasurer of the local Reformed church parish. The Protestant chapel in Caux was built for the English tourists in 1906, before the First World War. It is dedicated to Saint Michael and All Angels. In 1946, some of the angels had gone missing. This sermon tells their story, how some of the angels came back, and how two villages were reconciled.
