A conference cassette on the publication of Victor Sparre's book

Recorded at Chatham House, London 1979, on the occasion of the press launching of Victor Sparre's book of the same name.

Opening remarks, introduction and commentary by Hugh Nowell, Managing Director of Grosvenor Books.

Victor Sparre, the Norwegian artist and author of the book tells journalists of his meetings with, and campaign to support, the 'otherwise thinkers' in Russia.

Vladimir Maximov and Vladimir Bukovski pay tribute to Sparre's work and together answer questions put to them by journalists.

Miss Coral Haddon of BBC Radio Medway interviews the author and one of the translators of the book, Alwyn McKay.

The original audiocassette was issued by MRA Productions, with the number CC 200, with the mention:  "With grateful thanks to Miss Haddon and BBC Radio Medway for permission to use extracts from the broadcast"
