Inspiring stories of ethical leadership

Michael Smith, former Head of Business Programmes at Initiatives of Change, UK, has written a new book, ‘Leading with Integrity'

Michael Smith, former Head of Business Programmes at Initiatives of Change, UK, has written a new book, titled Leading with integrity. It was published by Routledge in June 2019 and further editions were published by Routledge in India and by Vijitha Yapa Publications in partnership with Routledge in Sri Lanka. The business book is a collection of stories spanning the world, as Initiatives of Change does, and includes extensive coverage of Caux and Asia Plateau – two IofC global centres for changemakers.

The text includes some 60 plus stories of best practices in business and the economy and has been praised by CEOs and business academics. Professor Roger Steare, from Cass Business School, City of London, remarks that ‘Mike Smith shares profound insights into the DNA of good business. His easy, narrative style makes these insights both accessible and persuasive. A thoroughly recommended read for all those who care about a better business ethos.’

The Texan entrepreneur and author Margaret Heffernan writes: 'Mike Smith has been pursuing an urgent need conversation on the new leadership for longer than most companies realized they needed it. If you want to understand where leadership in the business world is going, you could ask for no better global guide,'

Michael Smith is a freelance journalist. His articles have appeared in the Financial Times, The Guardian and Guardian Weekly, The Times, The Independent, The Scotsman, The Herald (Glasgow) and The  Pioneer (New Delhi and Lucknow).
