Fulvia Spoerri

Before the 2nd world war, Fulvia's father, Guy von Hahn, had been close to the Oxford Group, and was working as a journalist in the German press agency. This involved becoming a member of the National Socialist Party. To stand against the Nazi regime was to risk your life and that of your family. Von Hahn decided not to do so. The von Hahns were Baltic German aristocrats who lost their home when the Red Army overran Germany’s eastern territories in 1945. Their daughter, Fulvia von Hahn was born in former Prussia.

She married Pierre Spoerri in 1958. Together they travelled the world with Moral Re-armament. They also became pillars of the Caux conference centre.

Fulvia is a brillaint linguist who translated a number of books.
