Passionate sportsman who sacrificed his career to work with MRA
As a student at Oxford University (1948-52), Briain Boobbyer became well-known as a sportsman: he played rugby for England nine times as a centre in the early 1950s. After graduating he became a full-time worker with MRA, working for roughly a decade in Asia and the United States. In 1962, he and his wife Juliet settled in Oxford, where they helped to oversee MRA’s work with students. Some of Brian’s talks and articles are available in his book Like a Cork Out of Bottle (2004). Brian and Juliet had two sons, Philip and Mark.
