As a young woman, Beverly answered the siren call of service and adventure, leaving behind her comfortable American life to move to England during World War II. There, she found herself at the heart of the Brits’ “Enigma Secret” at Bletchley Park—the code-cracking operation that intercepted numerous key communications from the Axis powers.
