Peter Vickers, a Board member of the For A New World foundation, is part of the third generation of his family to have been deeply affected by and involved with the Oxford Group / MRA / Initiatives of Change.
Graduate of Oxford University, he has spent his working career in 'Vickers Oils', a family company (established in Leeds, UK, in 1828), which formulates, manufactures and markets highly specialised industrial lubricating oils, used worldwide. During the last 30 years Vickers Oils has pioneered the development and use of 'Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants' for the worldwide shipping industry. Peter’s responsibilities included international sales and personnel management before becoming Managing Director and now Chair of the company.
He has 35 years experience as a Board member of trading companies, trade associations, and as a Trustee of charitable foundations, both in the UK and internationally.
