Gerd Jonzon   1930-1993

The Church of the Holy Trinity in Uppsala, Sweden, was filled to capacity on September 3 for the funeral service of Gerd Jonzon. The service was presided over by Holsten Fagerberg, professor of theology, who recounted Gerd's exciting life from her first visit to Caux, the gift of her life to God, and the commitment she remained faithful to throughout the years, along with her husband, Bror.

The choir from the play "Birgitta" (about the life of the Swedish saint, written by Gerd) participated in the service, and during the reception that followed, Sylvie Sôderlund sang two of the songs written by Gerd.

Bror and Gerd are part of the group of Swedes who have carried Caux since the early years. We were happy to participate in this rich day and to be able to express the gratitude of all their Swiss friends.
