Original description of conference(s)
General theme of the Caux Summer Meetings:
"Lines of Action 1969. To multiply the number of men ready to confront the most virulent divisions of our time and to export the solutions found. To give the leaders of the world economy the necessary impetus to find solutions to the confrontation between rich and poor nations. To offer the 'protesters', the 'reactionaries' - and all the others - a global task so great that it challenges them to adopt new standards of thought and behaviour. To train men and women to take responsibility in a world of constant change. To create the framework in which representatives from Western and Eastern Europe, as well as from Asia, Africa and the Americas, can agree on a common vision of tomorrow's society and commit themselves to making it a reality. Every weekend in June and July, meetings for participants in the international conferences in Geneva".
