Sylviane’s parents, Serge and Regula Borel, met in Caux while they were both volunteering full-time for MRA. Sylviane was born in 1983, five years after her older brother Jean-Denis, and lived in Caux until the age of 3, when the family moved to La Tour-de-Peilz, a small town nearby.
She spent a lot of time in Caux during her childhood. After the early passing of her parents, she moved to Sion by relatives who took her and her brother in. Thanks to close friends of her parents who took care to maintain the connection, she kept coming to Caux during school holidays, where she took part to the summer and winter conferences while helping in the bakery or in the kitchen.
Sylviane studied visual communication design in Geneva and, since 2009, has lived with her partner Salvatore in Lausanne, where she has worked full time in a communication agency for 3 years. After the birth of her daughter Noemi in 2017, she has been working part-time for a university and recently for a large Swiss retailer. Besides these jobs, she started to work freelance as well and is currently also working on the design of this very website.
