Former member of the Board of Directors of Caux
Eric Thiébaud 1899-1996
A native of Neuchâtel, Eric had founded a real estate agency in Lausanne with a friend.
In May 1946, with the purchase of Caux, he became a member of the Board of Directors to help them with his extensive business knowledge.
He was a man of courtesy, integrity and uprightness whose advice was invaluable in the early years of Caux. In fact, in order to cope with the influx of conference participants, he bought the Hotel Maria in 1947 and in 1949 the Alpina Hotel. He passed so many years, together with others in establishment of the Caux Conference Center.
Eric Thiébaud passed away peacefully at home on February 3 in his 97th year.
