Summary
Leif Söderlund is a civil engineer and photographer born in Vevey, Switzerland.
Leif was born in Vevey, Switzerland and lived his first year in Caux, Switzerland. At the age of one, he moved to Sweden with his parents (Gunnar Söderlund and Sylvie Söderlund). He lived in the MRA/IofC centre of Alnäs in Stockholm until the age of 19 and then moved to Lundby Gård with Gunnar & Sylvie. In the years before moving to Lundby Gård, he spent every school holiday in Caux, mostly working in the Theatre as a stage crew member.
After spending a few years working part time at Lundby Gård and part time in hotel management, he went on to study civil engineering in Stockholm at KTH, the Royal Institute of Technology (2004 to 2010). Between 2010 and 2018 he worked in several IT/Technical Project Manager roles at Swedish truck manufacturer Scania, in the department of Powertrain Control Systems.
Apart from being very interested in technology, Leif has been passionate about photography and in March 2018, he quit Scania to pursue a career as a professional, self-employed photographer in Stockholm.
Since March 2020, he lives in Fribourg, Switzerland. He is also part of the Development team creating the For A New World website.
Since 2023, he spends most of his time in Colombia, where he is managing a youth hostel.
