歌词

"O Banff, where the Rockies rise up to the sky,

Where the bighorn do wander, the eagles do cry;

And borne on the wind as it blows strong and free,

A call to man’s spirit, to you and to me.

In a country that’s spacious and rugged and grand,

That cannot be tamed by anyone’s hand.

In a world where people know anguish and fear,

The Great Spirit’s voice will speak to us here.

O Banff, where the Rockies rise up to the sky,

Where the bighorn do wander, the eagles do cry;

And borne on the wind as it blows strong and free,

A call to man’s spirit, to you and to me.

As the warm chinook wind melts the ice and the snow,

From the highest divide to the plains down below,

So, God melts the ice that can harden the heart.

Gives bitter or callous the chance to restart.

In a world where the wisdom of humans has failed;

With famine and war our ears are assailed.

Could it be we’ve lost that simple art -

To listen each day to that voice in our heart.

Now people have flocked from the lands of their birth

To find a new life on this part of the earth

All races and colours and creeds you’ll find here;

A home for all people from far and from near.

As together the US and Canada stand,

Partners in building the world God has planned.

Be still and hear the waters that sing;

The Great Spirit’s voice a new song will bring.

O Banff, where the Rockies rise up to the sky,

Where the bighorn do wander, the eagle do cry;

And borne on the wind as it blows strong and free,

A call to man’s spirit, to you and to me.

Oh Banff, where the Rockies rise up to the sky…………….."
