Sciortino worked full-time with MRA (IofC) in Malta after serving in WWII
Ian Matheson Sciortino, son of a Maltese father and a Scottish mother, was educated at Oxford where he graduated BA with Honours in English Language and Literature. He saw active service with the infantry in World War ll. At the end of the war, seeking some positive and constructive action, he became a social and religious worker with Moral Re-Armament (MRA). He and his wife Sheena were encouraged by Archbishop Gonzi to work in Malta, where they spent twenty years until Ian's retirement in 1978.
