Born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1967 I grew up in times of military dictatorship in my country. After completing high school, I, like my grandfather and my father before me, joined the military police and there I stayed for about 8 years as a police officer serving society, period when I had my English studies.
After that, while attending graduation in Information Technology, as I had already finished my studies in English, I started a new journey in teaching and translating. For the next 15 years I would serve post graduating students, mastering, doctoral students, and many others, giving them my best in translations, as well as teaching classrooms. Well, life demanded changes and then I started a new position, now as a civil servant at the Court of Justice in São Paulo, where I still am, but despite that I kept in touch with the English language.
Recently, I was given a great opportunity to revisit my translating times, now as a volunteer worker, and together with it learn more deeply about, keep connected with and contribute to The Initiative of Changes and ...For A New World, what has come to be for me a grateful experience. Rich times, these ones!
